berlin based firm, kinzo, has completed the interior design for a container-hostel in warnemünde. surrounded by the local harbour and shipyard, the project marks germany‘s first upcycling hostel. the idea to build a hostel out of vacant shipping containers is unprecedented and the interior design by kinzo aims to capture the rough charm of the area by combining the industrial look of the harbour with an urban aesthetic.
這些集裝箱被染成四種不同的顏色，在旅館內部，12 x 2.5m的集裝箱通過精心布置成為空間中有用的部分，也可以成為一個獨立的浴室空間。kinzo設計公司運用天然材料營造出色調柔和的室內環境。旅館共有64間客房，188張床位，分布在四個不同設計風格的集裝箱內。30㎡的集裝箱被改造成寬敞的雙人床和四人床的房間，而兩個集裝箱焊接在一起，則創造出寬敞的海港套房以及有著八個床位的宿舍。
the containers are dyed in four different colours and on the inside the 12 x 2.5m layout of the containers is divided into useful sections by well-placed cabinetwork, even integrating a separate bathroom space. cozy upholstery made of natural materials in muted colours is also implemented by kinzo to complement the design. the hostel comprises of 64 rooms with a total of 188 beds located in four different types of containers. 30 sqm high cube sea containers are transformed into spacious double and four-bed rooms whereas two containers welded together create spacious harbour suites as well as affordable eight-bed dorms.
公共空間的裝飾給人一種冒險的感覺，木製接待處和酒吧櫃台成為空間最主要的地方。旅館內隨機堆放著歐式托盤，也就是所謂的“木筏”，成為了開放式餐廳的中心焦點。在廚房裏，你可以自己準備食物，可以俯瞰海港。這家旅舍以其不同尋常的設計成為了瓦爾訥明德地區中獨特的風景線。
the decor of the public spaces has an adventurous feel to it and the wooden reception and bar counters take up the materiality of the rooms. an almost randomly positioned stack of europallets, the so-called ‘raft’, becomes the central meeting point of the open restaurant. in the galley, you can prepare your own food and eventually end the day overlooking the harbour. with its different and unusual design, the hostel makes a bold statement in the surroundings of warnemünde.
